Mark 7:6
He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
This is Gods way of testing your faith and finding out if you are a hypocrite or not.
If He is real then you will have no problem to paying Tithes and Offerings.
Question: What is the difference between Tithes and Offerings ?
Tithes is one tenth of all income
e.g. 100 income per week = 10 is the Lords
This tenth is how God gets His own money into His church.
Example... You may work for an employer and he should pay you 900 but God makes him pay you 1000.
It's like two men working together on a private job but one collects the pay to share between them. Can you imagine if one man collects the money and does not pay his fellow worker, his excuse is, he has bills to pay and other things to spend the money on. That would be unfair and even stealing someone else's wages.
That is why it is written in Malachi 3:8
Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
Some may say what did God do in the work? The answer to that is He kept you employed, He kept you alive, and protected you at all times form your enemies.
Gods reply to those that refuse to steal from Him.
Malachi 3:10-12
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
Even better, He makes sure the devil cannot ruin your finances and investments and all the things you purchase last beyond the sell date.
And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.
And the proof will be seen that you are a true believer
And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts.
